The BYD473QE QB engine is a new 1.5L all-aluminum alloy engine independently developed by BYD, with a maximum power of 80kW and a maximum torque of 145Nm. The engine has an advanced VVL variable valve lift system and EGR exhaust gas recirculation system, which is lightweight, environmentally friendly, efficient and energy-saving, low-carbon, clean, smooth and comfortable. BYD F3, G3 and L3 are equipped with this engine.
The cylinder head plays a central role in managing the intake of fresh air-fuel mixture, combustion, exhaust gas expulsion, and engine cooling, all while ensuring optimal sealing and operation under high pressures and temperatures.
